Wildlight Oasis didn't begin with a business plan. It began with a piece of land, a quiet prompting, and a vision we wouldn't fully understand until years later.

Chapter 1: 2018
Where it all began
When we moved to this 34-acre property in January 2018, Wildlight Oasis wasn't even an idea yet. We had simply found a place we loved and were excited to call home.
But not long after arriving here, we both felt God impress something on our hearts: this land wasn't meant to be only for us.
We didn't know what that meant at the time. Maybe it simply meant opening our home more often to friends and family. We certainly weren't imagining mirror cabins, nature retreats, or welcoming guests from around the world.
We just knew there was something special about this place — and somehow, we knew it was meant to be shared.
For years, that feeling quietly stayed with us.
But not long after arriving here, we both felt God impress something on our hearts: this land wasn't meant to be only for us.
We didn't know what that meant at the time. Maybe it simply meant opening our home more often to friends and family. We certainly weren't imagining mirror cabins, nature retreats, or welcoming guests from around the world.
We just knew there was something special about this place — and somehow, we knew it was meant to be shared.
For years, that feeling quietly stayed with us.
Chapter 2: The Years Between
The idea we couldn't see yet
For the next several years, life simply unfolded. We built our businesses, spent time with the people we loved, traveled whenever we could, and grew even more grateful for the little piece of the world we got to call home.
Along the way, the things that mattered most to us became clearer too. We had spent years helping people pursue greater health and wellness — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We cared deeply about strong marriages and the importance of creating space to reconnect with the person you love. And some of our favorite memories together came from traveling to beautiful, peaceful places that made it easier to slow down, be present, and experience something special together.
Entrepreneurship had also been part of our lives for more than a decade. We loved creating, serving people, building something from an idea, and finding ways to make an experience better than someone expected.
At the time, none of those things seemed particularly connected to that feeling we'd had about our land years earlier. Looking back, though, we can see that the pieces were already there.
We just couldn't see yet what they were becoming.
Along the way, the things that mattered most to us became clearer too. We had spent years helping people pursue greater health and wellness — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We cared deeply about strong marriages and the importance of creating space to reconnect with the person you love. And some of our favorite memories together came from traveling to beautiful, peaceful places that made it easier to slow down, be present, and experience something special together.
Entrepreneurship had also been part of our lives for more than a decade. We loved creating, serving people, building something from an idea, and finding ways to make an experience better than someone expected.
At the time, none of those things seemed particularly connected to that feeling we'd had about our land years earlier. Looking back, though, we can see that the pieces were already there.
We just couldn't see yet what they were becoming.

Chapter 3: 2025
The vision finally came into focus
By 2025, something had shifted. After years of feeling that this land was somehow meant to be shared, we finally began to understand what that might look like.
We had been exploring the idea of creating a short-term rental and researching opportunities in different places. But eventually, the answer started to feel much closer to home: What if we created something truly special right here on the land we already loved?
Not just a place to stay, but an experience — one that brought together so many of the things that had become important to us over the years. Nature. Wellness. Beautiful spaces. Meaningful travel. Entrepreneurship. And most importantly, creating room for people to slow down, reconnect, and leave feeling better than when they arrived.
For us, that vision became especially meaningful when we imagined couples experiencing it together. We know how easy it is for everyday life to become busy and full, even in a strong marriage. We wanted to create the kind of place that makes it easier to put everything else aside for a little while and simply enjoy being together.
What had begun as an idea for a new business started to feel like something more — one of the things God was calling us to build in this next season of our lives.
And suddenly, that feeling we'd carried since 2018 made a little more sense.

Around that same time, we had come across mirror cabins tucked into beautiful natural landscapes, and the idea immediately stayed with us. There was something almost magical about a structure that could disappear into its surroundings while allowing the people inside to feel completely immersed in nature.
We knew we didn't want to build just another cabin.
We wanted to create something people would remember.
But more than that, we wanted every part of the experience to reflect what Wildlight Oasis was becoming.
The mirrored glass wasn't simply about creating something beautiful or unusual. It was a way to bring the woods into the experience — to wake up surrounded by trees, watch the light change throughout the day, and feel immersed in nature without ever leaving the comfort of the cabin.
The wellness elements came from something we already deeply valued in our own lives: caring for the whole person. The sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, trails, and quiet weren't chosen simply because they made for an impressive retreat. They were chosen to create opportunities to slow down, breathe deeper, move your body, rest, and leave feeling better than when you arrived.
And because some of our favorite travel memories have always been filled with thoughtful details and unexpected moments, we wanted Wildlight Oasis to have those too — the little luxuries and experiences that turn a getaway into something you remember long after it's over.
But at the center of it all was something even simpler.
We wanted to create a place that made it easier for two people to be fully present with each other.
A place to put the phones down for a while. Sit by the fire. Talk beneath the stars. Wake up slowly. Wander through the woods. And have nowhere else they needed to be.
Little by little, those ideas became something we could actually see, touch, and walk into.
Woodland Mirrorhaus became the first stay at Wildlight Oasis — and the first expression of a vision that had been taking shape for years.

Woodland Mirrorhaus may be the first stay at Wildlight Oasis, but the vision has always been about something bigger than a single cabin.
We believe the world could use more places that help us step away from the noise for a little while. Places that remind us to slow down. To breathe. To reconnect with the people we love, with nature, with God, and with the parts of ourselves that can be easy to lose in the busyness of everyday life.
That's what we hope Wildlight Oasis becomes — a place where people can escape the weight of the world for a while and leave feeling lighter, more connected, and a little more like themselves again.
Even the name carries a piece of that vision: Wild, for the nature and freedom found here. Light, for the way we hope people feel when they leave. And Oasis, for the peaceful refuge this place has been for us — and that we hope it becomes for you, too.
We don't know exactly what every chapter ahead will look like yet. But we do know this: Woodland Mirrorhaus is only the beginning.
